How to Instantly Discover Happiness
Let's face it, we all need a little pick-me-up from time to time.
1 - Today I am Grateful For…
Loved ones to do life with.
2 - Inspirational Quote:
Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. - Oprah
3 - How to Instantly Discover Happiness
Let’s face it. We all need a little pick-me-up from time to time.
Not every day goes as you had planned.
You don’t always have the energy you wish you had.
Sometimes progress is overwhelming; “where do I begin?!”
This has a large effect on your mood and your productivity.
The bottom line is this; You’re not always happy.
Here’s the catch, that’s completely ok. In fact, it’s normal!
Life is full of ups and downs and our attitude of happiness flows like a roller coaster.
While I can’t guarantee that through practices that enhance happiness you’ll experience being happy 100% of the time, I can guarantee that you’ll feel a sense of control and ability to learn, grow, and progress.
In fact, challenges are something to be grateful for. It’s hard to realize this in the heat of the battle but it’s these challenges (low points) where you are forced to dive deep into yourself and your truest desires and intentions.
The goal here isn’t to completely eliminate challenges. It’s to embrace them and learn from them in order to propel yourself forward.
Instantly Finding Happiness
Next time you find yourself at a low point, give this exercise a shot:
Set your timer for 2 minutes and list out (pen and paper) everything you have that you are grateful for. This is the trick to finding happiness immediately.
Get granular! You’ll feel an immediate mindset shift from whatever it was that was overwhelming you to everything you have in life that brings you joy.
And many times, this is the exact pick-me-up you need to keep progressing.
It’s simple. But there is power in simplicity and once you give it a shot you’ll begin to recognize this.
Extra Credit
If you would like to take it a step further, write down 3 things that you can learn from this specific challenge.
Take a deep breath
What can you learn from this?
How can you avoid it in the future?
Make learning from these experiences a habit and soon you’ll go from dreading these moments to appreciating them. Once you learn to appreciate a challenge then what can stand in your way?
As always, I hope you appreciate this message.
If so, there are 2 ways you can help support me.
